Summer English Lesson VI. Adverbs of frequency

Hi students,

Today we are going to work on Adverbs of Frequency.

We use adverbs of frequency to say how often we do things or how often things happen. Here you can see the scale and the order.

0% …………………………………………………………………………………….. 100%

Never                 Hardly ever                Sometimes                 Often                Usually                 Always

We put the adverb of frequency between the subject and the main verb.

We put the adverb of frequency after the verb BE. (Exception)

Examples:

I sometimes go to work by car.

I always get up at seven o’clock.

I never eat fish.

Mary is usually late.

My friends are hardly ever stressed.

Now, I hope you have understood this easy lesson.

Practise and if you have problems, send me a comment (CONTACTA section).

Bye. Juanjo.
