Summer English Lesson XXII. Demonstrative adjectives

Hi students,

Today’s lesson is about demonstrative adjectives.

We use determiners “this“, “these“, “that” and “those” to refer to a thing or  a person we’re talking about.

  • Use “this” for things or people that are near the speaker. (singular)
  • Use “these” for things or people that are near the speaker. (plural)
  • Use “that” for things or people that are not near the speaker. (singular)
  • Use “those” for things or people taht are not near the speaker. (plural)

Examples:

This is my car.

These books are English books.

That house is mine.

Those flowers are for my mum.

Well, that’s all by now. Practise and make sentences to improve your grammar.

Bye. Juanjo.
